The Wilson Arts Center was recently renovated in May 2021 and they did an excellent job! The gallery is spacious with a free spirited feeling encouraging you to look around, no guidance is necessary. The art on display is beautiful and really brings out the visions, interests, and personalities of local artists. This is definitely a stop worth making and a good addition to the Wilson art culture.

Bill's Grill is that southern restaurant that every town needs. The setting has a nice country feel that doesn't feel outdated and a great waiting staff to match giving that " small town feel with country cooking" that Bills Grill aims for according to their website. The food was fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned, this place is loved by locals and for good reason! I recommend stopping in for a hot meal if your ever in town!

Tin Pan Alley : Musical Mosaic Tile Passageway

Art Themed Passageway

Tin Pan Alley is a beautifully painted tile alley located on Nash Street in Wilson, NC. It has colorful walls filled with flowers and also features a floral painted piano! I know, weird right ? But it also has a whimsical feel, like a secret alley from another world, misplaced in the city. But its actually a part of a Wilson project called Artsy Alleys. I love the idea! I wonder if people come by and play the piano, I bet it sounds so cool!

Krueger's Candies

Candy Shop

Krueger's Candies is a family owned candy business but seems to have more customers buying food than candy but who says that's a bad thing! I actually didn't try anything from this location. It was very dimly lit and most of the customers seemed to have ordered ahead. However, the place seems very well run! The lady at the counter was very efficient and nice.

Larema Coffee House - Wilson, NC

Coffee Shop

Larema Coffee House is coffee bar that's added on to Gig East ( coworking space). I think that it was a lovely spot. It was nice and quiet so I was able to sit in there for a few hours and get my work done. The glass tables and windows give a modern feel, that's also pretty comforable. The barista was really nice and made my drink pretty fast.
